Bears and more Bears!!!!
We can bearly believe it! After hearing about our Prayer Bear Den flooding, our amazing community partner, Cara Young Fish for Life knew they wanted to help. Today they brought in an amazing donation of 14,000 bears to the medical center!
Cook Children’s distributes over 15,000 bears to patients throughout the year. Fish for Life has made it an annual tradition to collect bears from the community and donate them to our Prayer Bear ministry team at the medical center, and this is their largest contribution to date!
When Steve and Debbie Amburn lost their daughter, Cara in 2008 to cystic fibrosis, they made the decision to remember her by helping others at Cook Children’s where Cara received care. Through the donation of bears and an annual fishing tournament, they have generously supported the patients at Cook Children’s for almost 10 years.
