Karson’s story

Traci Ward had never even heard of diabetes insipidus before she received the phone call that changed her life forever. Like many of us would, Traci immediately searched online for what diabetes insipidus meant for her 14-year-old son, Karson.

“There are two causes: one is a traumatic brain injury, and the other is a brain tumor,” Traci said. “And I knew Karson hadn’t had a traumatic injury.”

Like any parents, Traci and her husband Kurtis wanted the best care possible for their son. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, they didn’t have to travel far to find it. Karson immediately started treatment at our Fort Worth medical center. Today, he’s cancer-free and looking forward to attending college next year.
